Walter is always researching the “aesthetics” of the wine beyond current trends. A wine is the representation of three elements: the human, the type of grape, and the territory. Walter has been making wine for years and has won several prizes. In 2009, he was appointed to enter the academy of Georgofili. Furthermore, he has received many recognitions from the most famous wine guides of Italy: ”Guida dell’Espresso”, “Vini Buoni d’Italia del Touring Club”, “Slow Wine” di Slow Food, “Bibenda” and, recently, by the new guide of the sommelier association “Vitae”. Several times his work and his projects including with Prima Terra, have been mentioned in international publications: Burton, Anderson, Hugh Johnson and Michèle Shah. He is also mentioned in a book about Italian wines, created at the end of the 90’s by the teachers of “Master of wine” in London.Pierfrancesco Donati, is an entrepreneur in the maritime and transportation sector has always been attracted by the “heroic” viticulture of the Cinque Terre.Riccardo Canesi is a geographer, a researcher of the territory, and a former eco-warrior. He now officiates several functions throughout Italy.In 2015, Prima Terra welcomed two additional partners, the owners of the Tour Operator Arbaspàa from Manarola, Cinque Terre, Eugenio Bordoni and Catherina Unger. These two wine aficionados are deeply attached to the territory they call home. The touristic services they offer are meant to enhance the awareness of the visitors to the territory and its singularity. Catherina Unger, furthermore, is a committed photographer. She has, among other achievements, published the book “Vineyards With Sea View” which tells the history of the winegrowing in the Cinque Terre through pictures and texts.
